Flowpoint Canada Ontario Region – Sales Manager
Kris Montgomery, Flowpoint’s Ontario Region Sales Manager, has been actively involved in the water and wastewater industry since 1995. Initially, he began his career as an Operator-in-Training (OIT) with the Region of Durham. He brings more than 20 years of operational experience, including leadership roles managing wastewater systems in Whistler, BC; Jasper, AB; and Port Hope, ON.
In this role as Sales Manager, Kris is Flowpoint’s local point of contact for Ontario municipalities and is responsible for delivering custom, engineered-to-order, turnkey water and wastewater solutions. In conjunction to providing equipment solutions for Ontario water operations, Kris simultaneously serves as a Director on the OPCEA board, supporting activities provided by WEAO & OMWA to ensure our Ontario operators are the best in the world.

Each installation reflects a collaborative approach to emphasize our focus on long-term performance and serviceability. Below are a handful of water and wastewater systems we’ve delivered locally, specifically highlighting the range of solutions and applications we support.
Septage Receiving Stations
These septage receiving stations are equipped with two enclosed bays. Each of which is fully automated and monitored by PLCs, enabling licensed haulers to discharge wastewater directly into the sanitary sewer network. Each bay is designed to manage high-solids waste, using screening technology to capture debris and compact solids. The customer strategically selected the site to ensure convenient access to a nearby major highway.
Bulk Water Loading Systems
This municipality runs several bulk water fill stations for approved commercial users through the Flowpoint portal. Giving them full control over pricing and fee structures. These stations are commonly utilized by private water haulers serving residential purposes such as cistern supply and pool filling, as well as by construction crews and agricultural operations.
Bulk Water Truckfill Stations
A Utilities Commission manages over a dozen bulk water stations throughout its service area, serving both commercial and residential users. These sites supply potable water and are strategically located for convenient access. Usage is typically invoiced independently from regular utility billing.
Bulk Water Dispensing
Numerous automated bulk water filling stations are located across this city, providing potable water to users, with most operating 24/7. These stations were implemented to replace fire hydrant filling programs. Designed for efficiency, they deliver water at a high flow rate and are best suited for large-volume fills exceeding 1,000 litres. Access is managed through prepaid accounts created by Flowpoint’s Water+ software, allowing users to monitor consumption, generate reports, and manage multiple users.
Septic Receiving System
A septage receiving station enhances environmental protection by providing a dedicated site for wastewater disposal and treatment. The facility is accessible to both contractors and the general public, including those requiring septic waste disposal through licensed service providers. Operating year-round on a 24/7 basis, it improves service accessibility and creates opportunities for increased municipal revenue through expanded usage.
Bulk Water Station
We installed a new bulk water station at a municipal site to replace the outdated system, providing more reliable and improved access to treated water for hauling needs. The facility supports residents and contractors by providing bulk water for a range of uses and was completed as part of a capital improvement initiative. In addition to onsite access, private companies in the area offer bulk water delivery services for applications such as cisterns & pools.
Bulk Water & Sewage Dumping Station
A bulk water station intended to provide access to large-volume water purchases, with payment options that include prepaid accounts or onsite debit and credit transactions. During the warmer months, the site offers a free water-bottle (blue jug) filling station, allowing visitors to refill their bottles or jugs. In addition, a sewage dumping station is available at the same location, where users can use card payment to dispose of black and grey water.
Bulk Water Dispensing Retrofit
Bulk water services are available to registered users through this designated municipal station, managed via Flowpoint’s online platform that replaced traditional paper billing. This system enables customers to purchase water conveniently, manage vehicles, monitor account activity, and generate reports at any time through the cloud-based interface. Payments are exclusively online, and have removed the previously available in-person methods.
Septage Receiving Retrofit
A municipality relaunched its septage-receiving program in mid-2022 to accept domestic septic and holding-tank waste, thereby adversely affecting treatment performance, demonstrating strong financial and operational success, and creating a reliable disposal solution for haulers in the surrounding region. By early 2025, the program had generated hundreds of thousands in revenue without negatively affecting treatment performance, demonstrating strong financial and operational success, reflecting growing demand for the service. With some nearby jurisdictions reducing acceptance of hauled waste due to infrastructure constraints, this program plays an important role in meeting regional needs.
Water General Truckfill Upgrade
Bulk water is available through a municipal filling station that operates 24/7, primarily supplying non-potable water for applications such as construction and landscaping. Access requires users to create an account and obtain a PIN before their first visit. However, optional payment methods are available both online and at the station.
